Get free quotes from up to 3 licensed mold pros
Tell us what you need and where. We send your request to up to 3 licensed mold pros near you that offer that service, and email you their names. They contact you directly. It's free, and there's no obligation. Available for Texas, New York and Washington, DC ZIP codes.
How it works
- We match your ZIP to licensed mold pros that offer the service you chose, closest first. If you picked a pro, your request goes to that pro plus the 2 nearest other licensed pros that offer the service. Pros can't pay to be picked.
- Each pro gets your name, contact details, ZIP, what you need and your note by email.
- You get an email listing the pros we contacted. We keep a copy of your request to run the service and never sell it. We only send you tips and offers if you tick the optional box.
Prefer to choose yourself?
Find your area, contact 2–3 licensed pros who serve your address, and compare written quotes after checking each licence number against the state record.
- Find your area. Search below or choose your state. County and city pages list every licensee with an address there.
- Contact 2-3 pros. Ask whether they serve your address, and when they can come out. In Texas, Florida and New York the company that assesses your mold can't also remove it on the same job, so get assessment and remediation quotes from different firms.
- Compare written quotes. Check each licence number against the state record (linked on every listing).
What should I ask a mold pro before hiring?
Ask for the licence number and type, whether an independent assessor will write the protocol and check clearance, whether the moisture source will be fixed, how the area will be contained and what the written scope includes.
- What is your state licence number, and is it an assessor or remediator licence?
- Will an independent licensed assessor write the protocol and do the clearance check?
- Will you find and fix the moisture source, or only remove visible growth?
- How will you contain the work area and protect the rest of the house?
- What does the written scope include: demolition, HEPA cleaning, disposal, rebuild?
- Do you carry liability insurance that covers mold work?
- Will you work with my insurance adjuster, and do you need a signed assignment of benefits? (Read it carefully first.)
- What clearance standard or test will show the job is done?

Getting quotes in Florida
We can't forward quote requests in Florida yet: the Florida DBPR mold records list licensees' names, addresses and licence numbers, but no phone numbers or emails. Find your area with the search above, then contact 2–3 licensed pros yourself and check each licence on the DBPR site. In Florida, the company that assesses your mold can't also remove it on the same job.
